Monograma was founded
Monograma was founded by chance. It all started with a bath towel.
During his visit to Aunt Adele's home in America, Asher stepped into the shower and was amazed to see a beautiful set of towels embroidered with the host family's initials. It looked like a coat of arms and gave that bathroom a very luxurious look.
This, of course, sparked Asher's imagination, as he immediately thought about how to translate this for needs in Israel. Upon his return home, he discussed the matter with his mother, and it was decided to give it some deep thought. Mainly, to think about what needs could be met by an embroidered towel.
If a towel had ever been a product bought once in a lifetime as part of a dowry and purchased for the banal purpose of drying off, the addition of embroidery upgrades the product and turns it into something much more than just drying the body after a shower.
Embroidery of a name, with the addition of a "Mazal Tov" dedication for enlistment, or the embroidery of the words "Groom" / "Bride" on a towel set for an anniversary, or any other inscription related to an event, turned a simple consumer product into a useful and personal gift.
The bathrobe, which was a rare product at the time, became a useful luxury item thanks to the embroidered name and dedication. Thus, simple home textile products essentially became a personal, practical, and essential gift.
The finished product indeed took on a significant place, but how to turn it into a gift was the next dilemma. It was clear to Asher that these textile products needed gift wrapping; the only question was how??
At first, the cellophane bags from flower shops were adopted, where one side was shiny and silver and the top side was transparent. The goal was to display the product and the embroidery on it. In the second stage, the need arose for decoration with colorful ribbons, and the third stage was, of course, matching the colors of the ribbons to the colors of the product and the embroidery. And so, through joint efforts, Monograma's packaging method was born, which became a household name in Israel and a model to be imitated by all gift shops.
With the demand came the "appetite," and to the towels and bathrobes were added fragrant flower-shaped soaps and matching slippers, which, of course, required more sophisticated packaging.
Monograma packaging became a household name; satisfied customers returned and presented further demands, "causing" the expansion of the product range.
Gifts for soldiers, managers, lawyers, doctors, and commanders introduced the "solid" product line to Monograma.
Commemorative plaques, gifts for managers, engraved pens, discharge gifts for soldiers, mugs with a photo and dedication, certificates of appreciation, and much more provided the answer to a wider variety of gifts for every event, at any budget, with a personal dedication and photo.
There is no doubt that this is how Monograma captured its high place in the personal gifts market and created a good model to follow.
Its 29 years of activity certainly give it rich experience and a high advantage in the gift market.
Useful products, with a personal dedication, turn every gift into an attraction.
Monograma's test is the number of regular, returning customers, and there is nothing more heartwarming than seeing them feel at home at Monograma.
